SCAM This looked like a local number BUT it was a recorded message purporting to come from Amazon about a sizeable sum taken from my account for an order and to press 1 if it wasn't me who made the order. Needless to say I hung up without pressing any numbers.

I received a call from this number from an automated system telling me that my debit card had been used for unrecognised transactions and to press 1 to authorise or 2 to speak to my bank. My suggestion is that you do as I did and ignore it.

This is linked to a scam where a company is contacting O2 customers offeri g a 40 percent discount on your tarriff. Do not answer, do not give your details under any circumstances.

This number is from scammers in Birmingham wanting your bank details to repay you home appliance warranty overpayments that do not exist. Usually get three to four calls per week from same people using different numbers. Number rang me saying it was for an O2 upgrade and when i caught him out on being a scam he kept calling me back from numbers which my phone said was in random countries. O2 would not be persistent for 5 minutes repeatedly calling me from different numbers. Pushy, annoying and fake.

Received a 39 second audio file via whatsapp from this number on 8.1.23 at 1108 hrs. Nothing played. This was quickly followed by a whatsapp message at 1108 hrs just giving a UK postcode PO17 6HT. Be wary - just incase.
SCAM message received 14/02/24 appearing in same text message thread that I receive from Lloyds Bank. It provides a one-time passcode for a purchase that I had not made to FENDI LTD. It tells me to contact them on 03333392763 if I had NOT made the purchase. I did not call them, instead I contacted the fraud dept. of Lloyds Bank. Coronavirus. Claimed to be from government updating records about coronavirus. This is the 4th call with this claim. They ask questions about vaccination and whether you have had the virus. They claim there is some government initiative to pay half of insurance claims relating to the virus. The whole exercise comes to a stop when I won't tell them who my life insurance is with. One call even suggested I make up a provider, so I suggested he make one up. Seems like a phishing scam.
