I received a call from this number on 8.12.20 claiming to be from BT to report an internet problem. It turned out to be a scam aimed at accessing my personal and bank details.

Knew my name and stated he wasn t trying to sell me anything but wanted me to complete a survey and would then make sure I wasn t called again. Number doesn t actually exist but is spoofed by a South West Asian company.

Call centre in the Philippines by the sounds of it asking me if I have had an accident ...normal crap.

called 3 times in 2 hours, all during work time.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. I am deaf so I do not take calls. This number, however, returns over and over again trying to phone me. Spam.
