SCAM: I think it must be a scam number because he said he was calling from Carphone Warehouse which has since disbanded. he jumped in with another 'even better offer' before I'd even rejected the 1st offer. I didn't get a chance to reject any offer though as they spoke so fast with a thick accent, that I couldn't understand what was being said. I then asked him to repeat & he said 'bye' & hung up... Hung up very quickly when rumbled.. I have not had an RTA / Accident this century! I have blocked the number on my CPR told him nothing and reported the number to GMP on 101. I d like to think that was Game, Set and Match to me!! But you never know so be careful out there!

Sounded like some sort of financial scam, didn't identify where they were calling from.
The caller was a man with a foreign accent. He started to tell me he was calling about my computer but I decided it was a scam, told him I wasn t interested, hung up and blocked the number. I do not generally answer numbers that I do not recognise but as it was 08.30, I thought it could be somthing important.

The exact number was 01340 831714. After searching it here, I called the number back. It has a BT call screener on it. A Scottish sounding older lady picked up the phone. I told her my name and said I'd had a missed call from her number at 7:47am this morning (3-3-23). Her reply? "No, not me, no you haven't" and then she put the phone down. With a call that early in the morning, I thought my son had been in a car accident or something :-(. Very unhelpful and distressing. No idea what's been going
