Had a call at 08:40 on a Sunday morning with a message to ring bt.com/the name of a bank. This was a second attempt. Thanks for the advice re deleting this messaging service.

Caller asked for my daughter by name even though she no longer lives here. When I asked what the call was for, they immediately hung up

I have had daily calls from this number even when I have blocked it!!

claiming to be reporting fraudulent use of my credit card.

It s Origin Publishing trying to sell you magazine subscriptions. When they ring you they only let the ringer go a couple of times before hanging up, they do it on purpose because they want you to call them back on their premium rate number.

Rang my mother . Knew all her details. Pretended to be British Gas and said if she paid 199.99 now she would save money. They even knew her BG home service plan was up for renewal soon. He was so polite and convincing, she gave her bank card details. Luckily Nationwide have done a visa dispute and refunded her. We have phoned trading standards, British gas . Written a cancellation letter to so called company. This needs to go to Watchdog.

recording purporting to be from Inland Revenue, saying I was about to be hit by a big lawsuit and insisting I call a number which I was unable to write down. Obvious tosh

This is the number that calls regarding ESA claims and is 100% legitimate. Not answering this call may cause loss of benefits. Always answer the calls, they love to cut benefits for any reason they can think of.

Rang me today and said they were the "Vault". I asked them what they wanted and she starts immediately to ask me about my life insurance provisions.
