Caller asked for me by name, said they wanted to speak to me about my Vodaphone business account; I don't have a business nor do I have anything to do with vodaphone. they went on to ask for more details about who I was and what I did. Information Gathering exercise for some sort of scam
SCAM, I rcvd a call from a guy who claimed he was from BT and that we had a problem with our line etc. Sadly for him we have nothing to do with BT and when I confronted him & had a go at him and asked him never to call our number again he called me a ba.....rd. I decided to just hang up and blocked his number.

This number must be part of the range of numbers dedicated to the same call centre - I can see more similar numbers of the same range 1618141xxx reported here already, so far as I can see on internet with PPI calls, robocalls, insurance marketing, also accident chasers. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with something new, new scope?
