I ve been on a Vodafone pay as you go sim for a couple of weeks and am now drowning in sales calls which I can t tell whether are not are genuine! Either way, it s driving me bonkers.

Also 0844 3585862. It s an automated messing service. We had a message from the local dentist saying we had an upcoming appointment. In our case it was genuine. We ve had such messages before. However, the company sending the messages doesn t seem to be choosy about who else pays them. Call wasn t wanted or needed. Similar comment put on that number as well.

Asked if I was acccount holder & what colour was on my router & didnt seemed fazed when I said purple ( u don't get purple lights ) was an Indian man on the phone. SCAM Automated call from "Amazon", confirming renewal of Amazon Prime for one year for £71 plus. Given options of "Press 1 for this, 2 for that." Of course I have not renewed an Amazon Prime membership - didn't have one to renew. I said nothing, pressed no buttons, and after about 30 seconds of silence the line dropped. It's likely they would have asked for my cc details so the could confirm/reverse the charge; I'll never know :-)

Received a call at 14.27 p.m. from Barclays/Barclaycard saying that two transactions had been made this morning. One for £2000.- and another one for £700.-plus. If I agree to this transaction press one, if I want to speak to someone press two. I pressed two. Then there was a pause and after a while the person with an American accent said good buy.
