A man called my telephone to ask me to access my computer so he can fix the issue with the internet connection. I had not reported a fault, he was not calling from my provider and used a wrong mame for me. So, I hung up. The following day I discovered that the internet connection on my son s laptop had indeed been disabled! He must have visited a dodgy website but it is worrying that they could retrieve my telephone number from it.

The first one asked me personal info like what I did for a living and what I was currently trading... He then said he would put me on with his highly accredited colleague who then asked me to install an app called Anydesk so that he could screen share charts with me. I had my details sold by Car Phone Warehouse, after buying phones....... told ICO hope someone does something as in their terms and conditions there is wording relating to this, but no opt in or opt out..... it s just wrong, I pay for a service, a phone and then they sell my details on.... why .... never ever have I had such texts/ calls as I do now all within a day of purchasing something from their site...
