This number keeps ringing my mobile, knows my name and that I am with BT, says you don t have to notice to your broadband supplier and that they are cheaper (talk talk - not heard any good words about them. I told the guy that I would think about it nearer to my contract ending, I got another call a couple of hours later and this guy would take no, I told him where to go. He then rang back withheld and said I was very rude and hung up!!!!!

Received call from Indian sounding male, call centre environment. Said other people had been using my router. He did NOT ask to confirm my name address, account etc. I asked him many questions as I new it was a scam. He asked me to go to my computer. He said he could not send me an email to confirm who he was so I asked him to call back in half an hour whilst I ring BT to clarify who he is, he quickly put the phone down. Gets you to lookup "1p address" on google to "prove" this (which is nonsense). Then to access deskroll.com so he can remote access your computer. I led him on a bit to find out what would happen, then told him what i thought of him... so he swore at me and put the phone down! lol

The female caller (with a strange accent) said she representing Star Financial Services in the USA, and claimed they are currently engaged in a hostile takeover of Prudential Plc. so they wanted to buy my shares but first needed me to sign a non-disclosure agreement. They wanted my email address to send the documents. I said no, even tho they had my correct name and home phone number. I googled the company and they only have 5 employees and a non-phone number listed on BBB in the US.

I ve received about 8 calls from this number in the last week. When I answer, I can hear what sounds like Call Centre noise, but no person talking to me. After a few seconds they hang up.
