I live in the 01978 area code and I ve found any numbers that start 638 in my STD code area to be spam and other untrustworthy calls so I block all these numbers. 638868 has called 4 times today. All calls were left unanswered as my phone was on silent. I had the same experience as Dani. I d cut them off as they couldn t give me any details of our BT account when they said that our internet was about to be cut off. I phoned BT and they confirmed that our internet service was ok and the call was probably a scam. I have now blocked this number

This number is very dodgy, rings with a local dial tone so that you think it's someone local that you may know, I have since blocked this number

I have no idea who called me. It rang once. I picked up the phone and the caller was gone. I do not know if this is nuisance call, scam or a mistake. My number and all other ones are recycled. It could be a mistake.

Calls repeatedly, no speech then hangs up after a few seconds. Looks like a local number, but starts with a 4 not a 6, so very suspicious.

Called me to say I had a bug on my computer that they had noticed, told him I was recording the call, had his name and number and was sending to the police, he swore and hung up !

Never call unknown numbers back as you may be calling a Premium Rate or International number masked by a spoofed number which could be a very expensive call.

Silent call - just goes dead. I am getting a number of these calls from London numbers - I never speak first so obviously aren't activating the voice activated scam.

This is a new number for Utilita, which has been using different numbers to market energy provision aggressively. Elsewhere, on different numbers, this company has generated a lot of complaints. So, I?m guessing it?s only a matter of time before the complaints ratchet up here. Don?t know where they got my number - certainly never asked them to call.

This number (01904530013)called me on my mobile at work, I couldn t take the call at the time, so I called them back, as soon as I said you called me on and gave my mobile number, they hung up!!
