Silent call

Phoned me several times but as I found out why they called, by reading comments on this site, I have added their number to my list of blocked calls on my Call Guardian phone setup. Now the phone only rings once then automatically cuts them off without me having to do anything other than laugh at them for wasting their time.

rang today and attempted to put the emphasis on the fact he was calling from Google Business Directory - -of course, no such thing exists. He was giving the impression he worked for Google. Conman. Blocked

Just answer say thers someone at the door and walk away from phone when they realise that your not there they soon put phone down(serve them right for disturbing my meal time)

Got a call from this number on my mobile. Said I d been in an accident. No I haven t. I reckon they just dial numbers at random. I say this because only my family know my mobile number and I won t give it out to ANYONE else. They didn t even know my name or where I was from or where the accident happened or what car I was supposed to have been driving or what time of day or the date it was supposed to have happened. Cold calling about google adwords. VOIP lines werent working so could understand what bloke was saying. First rule of telephone sales, make sure you can be understood.

They are an approved EE 3rd party, but seem very unprofessional asking me for security details on an outbound call, goes completely against DPA, unless this has changed in recent years.

Fraudulent call centre(could hear this in the background) saying I had been victim of a fraud on my Amazon account which had had £1200 charged go the credit card linked to the account. Wanted me to push 1 or 2 etc to deal with the issue. I hung up but someone else may be duped by this type of con. Very angry that they can do this all the time.

this is a computer dialling numbers randomly. if no call centre staff are available to take the call it hangs up the call. ofcom should ban these calls.
