Called my mobile and asked for me by name. Claimed to be from Nationwide Building Society and started trying to confirm my postcode. When I asked to be told why they were calling first they hung up. I suspect this to be a scam.

The following steps are suggested:

I was charged ?18 in June and a further ?30 in July for a series of texts (?6 per texts) on my mobile bill. EE, who is my mobile provider said they could not refund me the charges as they were from a 3rd party for services such as an entry in a prize draw, or a game download, which apparently I had requested, and as such they could not refund the charge. They told me the company that provided the services is called Connect Mobile Limited and asked me to call this telephone number. I have tried calling thi

My 81 year old father was tricked into setting up a direct debit for his 4 year old Indecit. (June 2016)He realised the day after he was covered by another policy, so he cancelled the direct debit at the bank and wrote a letter to Appliance Serve as well as calling them by phone. A man said no problem he would sort it. July 2016 - he is getting reminders about a missed payment and a telephone call threatening court action! Bring it on!! #fraudsters

scammer claiming to be from either CAB or FCA don t answer & block right away - a friend got a call & asked for her by name she said hang on I ll go get her, she then put the fone down & just left then hanging hoping to run up their bill but they are managing to reverse call dial & SHE ended up with huge bill so defo cost trap block no. asap!!!

Said he was calling from the city and wanted to make sure I was covered when the recession hits. I am surprised I allowed him to divulge this bunch of cow droppings as I usually hang up before the end of the sentence :-)

This number called me on My mobile. When I answered a recorded voice told me I was being transferred to an agent. Hung up immediately.

Has called 3 times over the last few weeks no one there when you call back. After first call have stopped trying to answer when I see the number and do not call back

Had 9 calls on Tuesday, I didn t answer as i d left my phone at home. Answered the 3rd call on Wednesday, Guy asking for Bank details to set up contract for phone. Told him I m not legally allowed a contract, He replied - give me your details and i ll check if I can help - I hung up! VERY DODGY!!!!!

Said our direct debit stopped so was collecting money. Thick Scottish accent. Have also reported to Ofcom and TPS
