Stated he was from a company called Caledonian. Wouldnt tell me anything about the company or why he was calling until I said I had time to spare to talk properly. I hung up. Obviously trying to either sell me something or claim back PPI or similar. Not very forthcoming. I would avoid this company.

Doing a survey about a government grant programme my business had participated in earlier in the year - I d had been told there might be a follow up survey as part of the programme.
SCAM - it pretends your NI number has been used in regards to fraud, it’s a load of crap.
Just answer say thers someone at the door and walk away from phone when they realise that your not there they soon put phone down(serve them right for disturbing my meal time)

Possible that very sophisticated software being used - have had a previous call from 'Chris' on a different number and another call this morning from 'Chris' on a further number linked to Edinburgh. SCAM Impersonates family member by text, telling you that their phone has been destroyed and that they need you to pay an urgent bill. Total scam. Very convincing if your a trusting person.

Calls are at least - being stopped by Call Guardian which is built into the phone. So, the phone rings once, the Guardian kicks in and asks for the caller s identity. However, since this has never been given (and any such call is then terminated by Guardian), we assume they coming from an automated system. We just wish the system would give up on us!

This American male calls night after night to a business number and asks for a service that they offer, but then states that their situation is so top secret that they can't share what it is that they want. They then say suddenly that they have to go and they put the phone down. Initially withheld their number. Very odd behaviour and comes across as rather off balance. This is probably stalking/harassment, but it's to an unknown business.

Call centre - Claims to be from a 118 directory service. Asks to speak to the business owner. There is a pause after you answer before it connects so probably not actually from Aberdeen. Almost certainly a scam.
