These type of companies work from a dialling system where numbers are selected at random. They say they are calling about a recent accident on the off chance that the 1 in a million (slightly exaggerated) people they call say they have been in one. Offered to send me paperwork for a PPI claim, they knew my name and address yet were insistent on me confirming the address back to them (after they had read it out to me). I refused and hung up after they failed to explain why exactly they needed to send this paperwork.
