Weird one, I got a sales call from a Liverpool number to my mobile who seemed just as confused as I was as they swore they actually dialled this number (01517060251). Have absolutely no idea which part of it is a scam. It's definitely weird. Googled the number and nothing came up.
these people phone at least twice a day (sometimes more) and ask for 'mr firkin'. ive asked for my number to be taken off there list but the calls keep coming.

This is BT text service notifying you that soemone has sent a SMS to your home phone number which it will subsequently read if your home phone is not SMS enabled. A pain as it doesn t seem to be limited to reasonable hours. I don t remember telling Parcelforce that I wanted a 6AM wakeup call, I seem to remember ordering an item and receiving an email with tracking info saying they were going to deliver it. I missed a call, tried to call back - I was expecting a call from unknown mobile number. It cuts off. I sent a message, it bounces back as "phone number is formatted incorrectly". I found others are looking up for a very similar number, just last digits differ, so I guess this is a spam also.
