These type of companies work from a dialling system where numbers are selected at random. They say they are calling about a recent accident on the off chance that the 1 in a million (slightly exaggerated) people they call say they have been in one. I like to have fun with these people and keep them on the phone asking lots of questions thinking they have secured me.......but if they get me on a bad day then they get a lot of abuse. Twice I have received calls from this number. The first time I missed the call; no message left. The following day they called for a second time. I answered but they hung up on me! My guess is that someone is updating a database of useful information for scamming purposes. If it s a genuine sales call, it is not being run by a reliable or trustworthy organisation. Just don t answer.

The first woman told me my details had come up on her computer as being owed PPI, then asked me several questions about whether I’d taken mortgages, loans etc, I told her that if she had my details she would know all that. We went round in circles for several minutes... The postcode she had was for an address I moved from 9 years ago
