As everybody else said, an indian man called with lots of background noise claiming to be from Talktalk. He said there was a problem with the internet running slowly. Had I noticed this? I realised it was a scam and thought I d play along for a little. He asked if I had a PC or laptop so I lied and told him that I only had a tablet. ACTIVE MART website seem to have build a fraudulent site around Atlantic Electronics Limited (a real trading company) and are using their London address to sell goods via a separate website. Active Mart state they are part of A&M Electronics Limited, also at the same London address. ACTIVE MART seem to be a SCAM website company - DO NOT BUY from them or give them your credit card details, when payment fails to go through they ask you to do a BACS Transfer of money to them - be aware!!!

I am registered on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and the Mailing Preference Service (MPS) but they are breaking the law by ignoring this. After doing an online insurance comparison on go compare, they call 2 or 3 time in quick succession until you answer. They are just following up your quotation, but if I do a comparison on line, it s because I don t want the hassle of talking to people like this on the phone. Ironically, they were the cheapest quote but it did put me off a little. I ve still got 2 days to decide and will probably go with them so they don t really need to be doing these "follow up" calls.
