SCAM VERY DANGEROUS - Electronic voice claimed I'd been committing tax fraud, presumably as a means to try and extract information. Despite the London number it then connected to a callcentre in what sounded like India. They clearly had no details on me whatsoever. When I asked them who the hell they were and what their game was they quickly hung up.

Been called a couple of times from this number claiming I have money owed to me from a third party in my last crash. There was no third party involved, only myself, yet they keep on ringing and telling me this (presumably they want my bank details). When I explain that they are totally in the wrong and there is no money owed to me they have become VERY RUDE. Fraud. Said they were from Amazon Prime and that money would continue to be taken from my bank account unless I cancelled my subscription. Told me that I should press 1 on my keypad if I wished to speak to a manager. I do not have an Amazon Prime account. This is a total scam!

SCAM Automated call from "Amazon", confirming renewal of Amazon Prime for one year for £71 plus. Given options of "Press 1 for this, 2 for that." Of course I have not renewed an Amazon Prime membership - didn't have one to renew. I said nothing, pressed no buttons, and after about 30 seconds of silence the line dropped. It's likely they would have asked for my cc details so the could confirm/reverse the charge; I'll never know :-)
Said it was Nadia from Citizen s Advice. I said ok so what can I do for you? She hung up!

This is an Indian call centre which asks you to do a quick survey which they add that they re not calling to sell you anything - as soon as you say that you re not interested they hang up.. the thing is, they call you the next day saying the exact same thing!!!
Telephone Preference Service is free and will never call you. Never give any information to an unknown caller, no matter how plausible they sound.
