SCAM - UK (not sure why it comes up as Hanoi on here!) - Scam phonecall from "DHL" in the UK spoofing the actual DHL customer service number so it looks/sounds legit, automated Chinese voice asking you to press 9 to speak to someone regarding a parcel, then repeats the message in Chinese. received call foreign sounding man said he was from BT technical department.we are not actually with BT! told me ip address was compromised and people could see what I do on my computer and wanted me to go on my computer so they stop the person hacking computer. I told him i didn't believe him and was going to tell my son who's a policeman and then he put phone down on me. phone number is from Algeria. the frightening thing is that I could hear loads of other speaking in background just like a call centre.

This number must be part of the range of numbers dedicated to the same call centre - I can see more similar numbers of the same range 1618141xxx reported here already, so far as I can see on internet with PPI calls, robocalls, insurance marketing, also accident chasers. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with something new, new scope?

Danger - this number is from a scam Norton 360 protection email. It asks you to call number if you want to cancel the new subscription you have supposedly auto renewed. Would not have worked on me as I have taken Norton 360 as it’s crap as a protection software tool. If I had I would have gone direct to the Norton rather than respond to a high lighted number in an email.
