Had a call from this number about 20 minutes ago saying HMRC has a case against me and to press 1 to speak to my case officer. Pressed 1 and the line was noisy so said hello but no response. HMRC does not ring to speak to private individuals. It does not operate that way. Shame on whoever is doing that

This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range just with last digits different, which is a common thing - they use a range of similar numbers. They are reported with different scope, but mostly call centres work for multiple clients - O2, charities... They have rang twice this morning. First caller in an Indian accent started speaking to the wife about checking the internet router whilst I picked up another phone. Then when I asked who he was from he called me a “F**king Bastard and rang off. Second caller just rang off without getting abusive. And we let these people into this country !!!!

just received a letter from the DWP requesting bank details so they can pay my pension into it instead of the post office.if this is a scam, it's a b****y clever, very convincing one. it was accompanied by a letter in the same post from the post office telling me I could close my card account with them free of penalty, though it's not the type of a/c that incurs penalties. the letter even quotes my national insurance number at the top. very clever of two big organisations to hit the same postal delivery tog
