This is a new, and weird, one for me. Called my landline but disconnected when I picked up (now they know this is a live number,,,damn!!). No message left so I'll never know if I have been left millions of pounds from an unknown benefactor who needs me to handle his money, for a small fee, to help them evade paying local taxes or being claimed by a fictional Government department.

Left long message on answering mach. Serious law suit against me unless I rang. Robotic voice, Americanized pronunciation & legal phrases. Did not specify name of myself or partner. Again Jennifer Coleman from HMRC. They would write to named person, cause of action letter, would never leave message as don t know who would pick up. Could scare people into ringing them back. Just had a phone call as above stating that HRMC were taking a lawsuit out on me. Yet another scam !!

I recieved a call from a company introducing themselves as Energy Helpline and stated that they were looking to help me out on my Home Phone and Broadband bills. They convinced me to switch to another provider and that I had to pay an amount upfront for an activation fee? Is this normal? Then they stated they had a power cut as soon as I gave those details and they then had to ring me back? Sounds suspicious if you ask me, it has been an hour now. What is happening???
