Accident claim expert - another cold calling company in a long line of them, number blocked

constant calling.rings twice at most then hangs up. my number is ex directory.

They called me today asking for my wife, said they had details of a loan she d taken out that had been passed on to them, I pressed for details and they gave some details of a loan she hasn t taken out. She said the company was BPI Claim Line and are part of another company (couldn t make out the name) and they re regulated by the Ministry of Justice. She hung up on me when I pressed her for the company name that they were part of.

Google search reveals it to be Sensible Staffing, a recruitment agency for healthcare, pharmacy etc staff and based in north London.

Claimed to be BT with threatening advice; presumably a scam

This number rings me twice a day but my phone doesn t actually ring - very annoying - how do I block this call

Missed a call from this number

Persistent nuisance call - recorded message about govt grants etc. About three times a day.

This number is an accident claim company touting for business. They phoned and there was noone there, so returned their call and spoke to a guy in a call centre. He asked about a collision we d had in our vehicle, however we haven t had a collision in our vehicle. He said they get the numbers from insurance quote websites when someone has ticked that they have had an accident in the last 3 years.

Man with Indian accent said his name was Michael. Claimed to be from BT Open Reach. (I didn’t think they were contactable) Local Shaftesbury number. He then asked me how I am today. It didn’t seem very professional. I felt uneasy about this so I rang off.

On returning this call it was an automated response saying that as my phone contract was due to expire shortly they could offer info. on new handsets etc. Press 1 to remove from their database, 2 to speak to someone. On entering 1 you are requested to enter your no. then the hash tag. Upon doing this the line went dead. Hopefully I won t now start receiveing lots of Spam!
