It s AirBnB. You can attach the internal messaging system to text your phone when someone responds to a message etc. AirBnB use several different numbers to do this. This is one of them.

Suspect untrustworthy. Wanted to offer me a 3 month subscription to the magazine for ?1 an issue (cover price about ?3.50 or so). Asked for my sort code and bank account number. I was driving so said ring back - when she did, I couldn t take the call anyway.

I ve been getting several calls a day not just from this number, but from others, too - or sometimes they come up as "unavailable" or "international". All of them are from people with an Indian accent saying that they are calling to fix a problem with my PC and quickly become very rude when questioned. I missed a call, tried to call back - I was expecting a call from unknown mobile number. It cuts off. I sent a message, it bounces back as "phone number is formatted incorrectly". I found others are looking up for a very similar number, just last digits differ, so I guess this is a spam also.

I answered, a man was on the other end, claimed to be a part of a pension plan scheme, I never paid to on, opted for one, nor did my previous employer contributed to one on my behalf, told the man this in answer to his questions, he thanked me for my time and said bye. That was it, but the fact it was unsolicited, made it seem like a scam.
