Said they were calling from Domestic and General - a company we do have an account with already. Said we were a valued customer and had qualified for a discount. Said we were already covered for our TV Satellite equipment etc. We knew this was incorrect. They said we were already paying £10 by DD. Not True. These people have been calling me for weeks. I have told them that I am not the person they are asking for "Mrs Humphries" and asked them numerous times to take me off their list but still they call. As soon s they realise I am not the person they want they disconnect sometimes whilst I am mid sentence. Infuriating!

Phoning persistently over the past few days from different numbers. Some kind of survey scam, but they hang up as soon as you deviate from script. If they call, don t give away any personal info: don t even confirm your name. Instead, try to politely find out their company name and address. Then send details to offcom / TPS / your MP etc (perhaps with a similar level of persistence?), until someone does something. It s just an idea. Good luck!
