Called me up and did not know my name, made several attempts - when asked why he did not know who the name of the person he was calling and asked what he was calling for he hung up. Is this number used by a foreign based nuisance call unit? How did they get my number as I have signed any internet (including local authority) site as not wishing my details to be passed on. Is there any way I can find if I am on any list?

Keep getting calls from this number lately, 02037695529, sometimes it s just dead when answered but other times it s an Asian man or woman. Just had a call from what sounded like an Indian lady, confirmed my name and postcode and said she was phoning from Nationwide, I said I would hang up and phone Nationwide myself, at that point she hung up.
Said the companies name was “Motor Engineers” knew about an accident I had and was encouraging me to put a counter claim in making me eligible to receive £1500. Clearly my insurance company (RAC) is selling my personal information to scammers globally and I really do mean globally.
