Crunch accounting trying to sell their services
SCAM This is a call centre saying it is a courtesy call due to an appliances warrantee expiring, on this instance it was a washing machine, so quite believable. They wanted £65 per year for another 3 years full cover. It sounded very genuine until she said that she wanted me to tell her the name and make of my appliance and i said that i was ok and didn't want to renew the warrantee as i'd had it for over 5 years, then they just hung up and the line went dead. Robotic-sounding guy claimed to be responding to reported housing issues. Failed to answer questions (I couldn't hear who he said he was, asked twice, no clear answer), but put me through to speak to an Asian sounding bloke who also didn't respond to me when I asked how exactly were my housing issues reported to them if I cannot remember speaking to anyone other than my landlord. Said that they help tenants in council accommodation or housing association tenants, which I am not. Phishing scam.
Like another person wrote on here, I said no to the insurance on the website, the person was friendly enough and accepted no thanks, but I didn t consent to my number being used in that way, only for delivery info (i.e. time slot) to be given. Always ask them security questions, they got the order number correct and I don t know if there is a scam where they say they ll take away the old appliance for free, and then somehow charge you or possibly sign you up for insurance even though you said no, idk. SCAM Got this text saying it was from llyods and that I paired a device. Said to click a link if it was not me. I didn't pair any device and I have NEVER had a llyods account. A google search does come back with the number linking it to India and I have been getting some calls from India in the last month or so. Obviously I never answer these calls.

SPAM scam An Indian woman called in the morning,dad answered they said his surname and that they were from virgin,calling about his internet is fluctuating and that they will do a test to see what the problem is,dad gave me the phone to deal with her so I said to her to call back later.She called me late afternoon when I asked her where she was calling from she said talk talk and I said we weren’t with them when I said how would she know if something was wrong with my internet she hung up.
