SCAM I don't know who this company is but they are ARSEHOLES. I answered, they asked to speak to *my name*, I said "who's calling" , they said "good afternoon *my name* I'm Alex how are you today?" , I said "which company are you and why are you calling me?" Today, the american accented voice was identified as 'Shirley' professing to be from our internet provider and saying that our computer had been 'compromised' from various countries and they needed to access our router to 'sort the problem'. At that point I ended the call and added the number to our list of blocked callers.

I called Barclays on 03457 345 345 only to be told this numbers has switched to 0345 600 45 40. I called this number and followed the exact same instructions that you would normally be asked only something didn't feel quite right about it. I called back the 03457 345 345 number which worked this this time and spoke to a gentleman on the Fraud team who advised me this was not one of their numbers and this was most definitely a fraud attempt. I had a recorded voice telling me that my IP address had been compromised and was going to be disconnected and asking me to press 1 so that they could ask me some questions. I did this and was connected to a call centre where I was I asked why I had called. I explained and said that I was deeply suspicious of a scam and they hung up. The recording called again and I searched for anybody else who had this happen, but I could find no reports.
