Missed call

Two calls today. Rings about four times then disconnects. No idea who it is.

They phoned twice Fri 10/10/14. First call I answered but the line was dead i.e. Silent call. Second time I ignored in then 1471 said it was 01702 318818. Like "fed up" below when I rang it was a short message saying they were Independent Market Research then the call was cut off. Complained to FCO but they say there is nothing they can do at the moment.

Called saying they weren t trying to sell us anything! Some thing to do with some industrial work we had allegedly had done. Wrong and I am TCP listed but they had our name as well as the phone number! Phone number comes up listed as a Coventry number.

Answered once and told them I am on TPS please do not call again, and was told don t care as you cannot do anything and was laughed at before he hung up! Needs to be closed down

Trust Deed Scotland do not send people cold text messages as they do not engage in unethical practices like that.

At first I got quite scared when I started getting these calls. I have read a lot about telephone scams where they want to extract your financial data (Net banking PIN, Credit card details etc.) in the name of survey. For this reason I started declining calls from this number. Searching for the owner of this number on the web, I found out that this number belongs to a legitimate lead generation and lifestyle survey company named Simply Outbound. They now have a new number - 0800 4 11 88 99. Like many others I took out 3 years cover on a machine I no longer have. Tried cancelling over the phone but was informed I had to write in to obtain a refund. Did that a week ago but no confirmation of received so I tried phoning several times this morning but after seven minutes a voice says "Goodbye" and the call terminates. Judging from the ringing it is on a hunt group but nobody picks up. Looks like CAB is the next stop.
