Called number back using Jabber at work.. After ringing for a while a recorded message from a well spoken gent says Please hold the line someone will be with you shortly 3 repeat messages later and 3 min s later a female with an accent says Goodby So confirmed it is scam !

Called saying he was from Microsoft and I had a problem with my computer. When I repeatedly asked why he was calling he became very abusive. Caller had an Asian accent but knew some very offensive English words! I informed the police.

My 81 year old father was tricked into setting up a direct debit for his 4 year old Indecit. (June 2016)He realised the day after he was covered by another policy, so he cancelled the direct debit at the bank and wrote a letter to Appliance Serve as well as calling them by phone. A man said no problem he would sort it. July 2016 - he is getting reminders about a missed payment and a telephone call threatening court action! Bring it on!! #fraudsters

Cold Callers. They are called CHA chasing Road Traffic Accident claims in the past few years.

Pre-recorded message claiming to be from BT but not sure why a British company would use someone ( or voice generation software) with a mid-Atlantic accent to deliver a message to a UK-based customer. Some rubbish about disconnecting my Internet if I don t follow instructions which, undoubtedly, would involve me in racking-up a huge phone bill, i.e. if press either 1 or 2 as instructed. I hung-up. A variation on the SCAM calls from India about problems with internet account.

Claimed to be from the MID. Accident claim fraudsters / ambulance chasers.

Fraudulent call centre(could hear this in the background) saying I had been victim of a fraud on my Amazon account which had had £1200 charged go the credit card linked to the account. Wanted me to push 1 or 2 etc to deal with the issue. I hung up but someone else may be duped by this type of con. Very angry that they can do this all the time.

An unsolicited Vodafone call asking about the service I had on an earlier unsolicited Sales call...

Called me tonight and said they were called Live Energy. Said I was not interested and cheeky individual asked how could that be when he hadn't told me what it was about. ...

SCAM AND DANGEROUS - BLOCK THIS NUMBER - Claimed to be from Windows as there is a problem with my PC. I told him I had six , all running VMware as I worked in Cyber Security so it would be nice to exchange views on the benefit of remote connection packages and stealth connections and he said Goodbye and hung up!
