The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Pretending to be from Sky, telling me that there’s illegal activity going on, on my broadband, I told her that was my drug pusher, just to get rid of her, she didn’t know how to follow that, and hung up.

I hung up the call and she called again and I said why shall I confirm any thing when you yourself do not know to whom you are talking to and she said just Shut-up and hung up the phone :( What a shame

SCAM - Apparently they were from Sky trying to test my broadband speed. Notwithstanding I am not with Sky, I asked them to tell me my own name and postcode and they hung up. How rude! I assume the next step would be to access my computer to 'fix' the issue.

Part of a scam

SCAM Missed a call from this number, tried to call it back and an American voice says 'this number is not in service. Please check the number and try again' so whoever it is, is obviously using a spoof service to attempt to scam people. If they wasn't trying to scam people, then they would have a legit phone number!

07893 921376 automated call to say 2 incidents of £300 taken from Amazon account.

Called on the pretence they were a bank stating there had been a £100 withdrawal which was being investigated and tried to obtain bank security details. Block and do not answer

Foreigh accent, claimed that an investment I had made (I haven't!) in a company (that I've never heard of) has made profit and he can help get me the money. Told him this was obviously a scam so he said "Why you think so?". I told him because I'm not an idiot and he obviously is to think I'd fall for it, then hung up. Blocked.

This looks to be a scam. I telephoned this number after missing a call and receiving a voicemail message from someone calling himself "John" asking me to call another number. The above telephone number is an automated voicemail service(possibly USA), with no company name given or any indication of identity.

Automated voice, something about £300. Hung up before it got any further.
