Also similar number called me recently - 1494957974 and 1494957975, probably the same marketing company? don't wanna call back since I do not know the number - it could be just a robocaller testing if my number is responding, don't want to let them know my line is active... Scam! Automated call saying my annual subscription for Amazon Prime is up for renewal and £79.99 will be taken from my account in 7 days unless I cancel my subscription, it then asked me to confirm my bank account details to allow the subscription to go through. At this point I hung up. 1,The call was very crackly and jumpy and 2, I don't pay annually! Be aware and make sure your relatives are aware of the scam so they don't fall victim.

Woman called to say "We have been informed you were in a road traffic accident which wasn t your fault, can you tell me when this happened?". I said "Who told you this?" She repeated the above? I repeated my question. She said "The RPA" or "The RTA". I asked if this was an official government agency and she said "Yes". I asked which part of government and she said "Yes". I repeated my question and she hung up. All lies. I was not in an accident and so no official body could have reported it to them. I m sur

Got a call from 01246 255920 it was the same company UK Finance who keep ringing me on different numbers. They said i am due 10 year bank charges but could not tell me which bank. I just keep them on the line saying i need to write the number down then can't find my glasses etc. It must be 6 times they have called asking me to ring 0913 1240 871 which could cost me around £25 a call as it is a premium number. Of course once i do ring 0913 they can then release my cheque. I must have wasted at least an hour
