Recorded message saying BT & that internet would be disconnected within 24hrs unless press 1 to speak to someone. Luckily my elderly mother who they called is pretty cautious about scams and checked with me. I got her to do 1471 & googled the number finding various reports of similar on BT forum.

I got several calls a day from this number whilst abroad. Didn t answer as I didn t recognize the number and is there was an emergency from some sort they would have left a voice mail. Just googled the number and here I am, seems I m not the only one getting these annoying calls. Hope they stop one day as i will never answer.

this company is using loop holes in the system to pay people less than minimum wage by saying your self employed. Their paying people less than minimum wage. That is wrong when your going out there working in the snow 10AM - 9PM and 10AM till 11PM on road trips.. in the snow thats including every saturday (6 days of the week) you have people working these long hours and sometimes they only get paid ?20-?50-?100. Got a text from that number at 14:28 today stating: "Hey mum I've smashed my phone, please message me on this number 447706598765 urgently x I'm texting of a friends phone". I checked with my child and they said they never contacted me, therefore this must be a scam.

The guy said he was from Ecosave Power, which, having read the above, was true. However, he then asked if I had received my renewal paperwork, so I asked if he could tell me who my energy supplier was (I have recently changed suppliers, so would not be expecting any renewal paperwork yet). He said he would call me back - I said no, I can hold on, so he hung up. If that s not suspicious, what is?!

Was called whilst driving so did not pick up. Put the number in and saw this thread. Quite amusing when I saw who was ringing. Maybe they like to cause the accident? Thank you for your comments - I ve saved number under a rude name ha ha ha

Caller claimed to be from Serif UK, the software company. They wanted to do a survey, and when I told them I don t do surveys over the phone, nor do I confirm details someone claims to have about me, they slipped up and said they wanted to do a survey about my household finances, not the sort of thing Serif does. I regularly speak to Serif on other matters and never had this kind of conversation with them. I reckon they were out on a Phishing trip, but they didn t get even a nibble from me.
