Call claims to be from Amazon confirming an order for over £500. Then asks to press 1 to confirm.

Get a true call unit and block out this scum. I did works brilliantly to block unwanted callers

If you have a call blocker phone, just block the number. They ll still call but it won t ring and disturb your day (or temper!).

They purport to be a government agency refunding bank fees. My belief is that they are scammers.

Stated that he wanted to ask me three simple questions. Asked me to confirm whether I was living at my address but when I said I didn t have time, Mike as he called himself, became angry and said you ve just wasted my time and put the phone down on me... asking me about hearing loss from working in a noisy environment. I kept saying "pardon, I can't hear you" to the girl before I just hung up

I was asked about my pension history and whether I had a PIP. If I did the government have announced that I should be able to reclaim over-charging, particularly if my pension pot was more than £10,000. I asked for details of their website and she gave me theirs where there is no reference to this. Also mention gov.co.uk (which is obviously gov.uk) and I can find no reference to what she said. Also nothing on Moneysaving Expert, my go-to place for this type of thing.

Answered and guy started to talk (I think) with a lot of people chatting in the background. Then phone went dead. I have now programmed my new Panasonic phones to block this number in the future. What a good investment they were.
