SPAM and FRAUD - Shane called me today about my telephone line reducing my line rental - he said he could see I also had broadband (I don't). He was not from a telephone company - he should be ashamed of himself how does he (and the rest of the Indian callers) sleep at night. Shane from India - stop preying on vulnerable people with your toxic SCAM!
SCAM Purporting to be a bank card fraud department. The guy had an Indian accent... and I do not use the bank that was mentioned, so I put the phone down. The ONLY fraud was the caller. No doubt they would have been asking for all sorts of things - DO NOT give them any information whatsoever.

A guy called Shaun said he was calling about a virus that was being used to illegally download porn in China and Japan, he got rather highrate when i told him that i had an Apple Mac and not a windows comouter. i also got through to their police department which sounded like the same guy standing a little bit further away from the phone. The caller says they are from the Royal Mail and that I have a package being held in Central London. They want payment to release it. The cost is minimal but felt like a scam. Asked them to send me an email. On receipt, it definitely looks like a scam. I think if postage is underpaid, you get a note to say so through the mail. I'm marking it as dangerous as my gut tells me this is a phishing attack but I can't confirm.

Can I just say that I have had a call from this number, and you all think it is due to having a quote / taking out insurance. I have never been on the website nor taken out insurance from more than so I don t think it is the actual company - don t end up cancelling insurance with them because of that.
