Silent call Phoned at 0130 on 4th October 2020. Answering machine went on before I got to the phone. There was a VERY loud crackling noise. Tried phoning the number the number the following day - either engaged or rings out.
SCAM / SPAM Automated male voice, claimed to have a tax fraud case in my name and that I should press 1 to speak to an advisor or be arrested shortly. Pressed 1 to see what they said but was on hold for ages

This phone number calls me every day at the same time but no one speaks! It has been happening for 2 weeks so far!
SCAM. Claiming to be Virgin Media saying that my router is sending error messages to their server. This is utter tosh and rot - my router does nothing of the sort! And I think theca centre staff might actually believe that are being employed by Virgin. They phoned twice Fri 10/10/14. First call I answered but the line was dead i.e. Silent call. Second time I ignored in then 1471 said it was 01702 318818. Like "fed up" below when I rang it was a short message saying they were Independent Market Research then the call was cut off. Complained to FCO but they say there is nothing they can do at the moment.
Claimed to be from BT Openreach, when I asked where he got my number from he threw a load of verbal abuse at me to which I responded that he's obviously not from BT Openreach and hung up.

These people have been calling me for weeks. I have told them that I am not the person they are asking for "Mrs Humphries" and asked them numerous times to take me off their list but still they call. As soon s they realise I am not the person they want they disconnect sometimes whilst I am mid sentence. Infuriating!

Hung up as soon as I answered but then the same number called my mobile seconds later. Clearly working from some list which has both my landline and mobile number linked. I can t think of any such list except NHS!

Contacted regarding my amazon account and large order to being placed by I-phone. When asked what the order was for the caller became evasive and just said that it was for £737. When amazon orders were checked no such order had been placed and and no communication made. I consider this number dangerous.

This number comes from a agency in London working on behalf of the times newspaper. If you answer them tell them you want their registered address so you can bill them ?10 per minute, that ll get rid of them, but if the do recall then send them a invoice sent as tracked, and they have to pay you if you pursue to a small debt court. I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money.
