Asian type voice called about our computer - surprise surprise. We kept her talking for almost 3 minutes pretending we were grateful for her help. When asked what we could see on the screen (we didn t switch it on) we used the well used phrase beware Asians asking about your computer . She promptly ended the call.

I ve had a lot of harassing calls today, each time from a different number, this is the latest one, have been blocking them all.

Called my business claiming to be a Google partner, spoke a load of rubbish about our website and then passed me on to someone else when I asked what exactly it was they were selling. Claimed not to be selling anything but was clearly a sales call. Very thick accents made them very hard to understand, hung up on them after I realised I wasn t going to get a straight answer.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Oriental sounding woman called who had my full name, telling me that the UK pension rules had changed and that the call was from the Government to advise me on those changes. Asked about what kind of pensions I had. At that point I politely ended the call. seemed to be a fact finding call about me for nefarious reasons. If I want pension advice I can speak to a qualified advisor or look at a website. Sounded as if the call was scripted as she couldn t / wouldn t answer my questions.

hannah called my mobile, told me she had been told I had been in an accident that wasn t my fault. I asked her where she had got my number from, she said the road traffic accident department (!!).
