I just received a missed call from this number. The call didn t follow through. i think from the looks of this, must be scammers.

Indian lady started telling me I had a problem with Windows. I told her that she was unscrupulous and I considered that her actions were those of the scum of the planet. I blocked the number using my CPR Callblocker gadget (there are many alternatives). I pay for my phone, it s for me, what gives anyone other than me the right to use it to harass me? This is Northern Gas Network, it is safe to answer. It probably relates to some changes/maintenance required to your gas supply.

Called me on my works landline.I don t give out my tel.no. so they re cold-calling for business! Some PPI claims bloke who would not let go when I said remove my tel.no. SO IRRITATING!

I got my fifth call from this number today around 8 (I m with emobile and never answer it), they left a voicemail just saying hello and hung up. Seems suspicious

This number keeps calling my work line but when answered nothing is said. Has called my work line 10 times in an hour.

Person with an Asian accent (after a delay) introducing himself as Peter Thompson purporting to be from BT claimed someone in America was using my IP address and accessing emails . Asked what devices I was using to access the internet. The scammer wasn t afraid to argue back aggressively when I told him in no uncertain terms I knew this was an attempt to hack in to the internet.

As other commenters have already said, asian accented callers who leave "background noise" messages on my answer-phone. Don t bother phoning them back.
