Received a call, as if someone waiting to initiate talk, but none responded to my hello, instrumental music was playing in background.
Recorded man's voice American accent (code Guernsey). Something about "my account would be suspended" and "I should ring back by pressing a number" . ...
SCAM. Woman with strong Asian (sounded Indian) accent purporting to be calling from Microsoft informing me of urgent high risk to my computer etc---. I hung up and on checking discovered the number to belong to A&M Todd, a flooring company in Burnley.

Somebody emailed me asking me to call them on this number saying they were at one of my addresses in London but couldn't gain access to the property to read a gas meter. On tracking the number it showed up as being in Manchester so nowhere near London anyway and I actually do not have any properties in London so I suspect a spam email to get me to call this telephone number.

Spam claimed to be from legal team and kept asking about a fictional accident. Asked this chap numerous times to remove my number from list and not call again, but he kept ignoring me and just repeated his script over and over. One of the worse idiot callers I've had.

Funny this..had the same call today from this number to both my mobile AND Landline. The only people that have both my mobile AND Landline number are Talk Talk as they are work numbers and I don t give them out.

Claimed to be Visa ringing about fraudulent transactions on my account. First warning sign - Didn't know who I was. They should know whose account the transactions were on Second warning sign - As far as I'm aware Visa don't contact people direct, your card issuer will contact you. So it would have been Lloyds, Halifax, barclaycard, etc

I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. The chap on the other end rambled on about insurance and said he was from a company called Red Star. When I asked who Red Star were he got quite abrupt/aggressive. ABSOLUTE C*NTS! Called me regarding work on my website. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The caller mentioned a number of lapses in my website which they could fix as part of their ?400 package, including Google ranking etc. Rather than taking her word for it, I tested these so called lapses on a friend s mobile device which contradicted everything she was saying. Fraud The friendly female operator claimed I had agreed to sponsor a school anti bullying campaign last February 2020, and they were calling to ask which schools I wanted the booklets to go into. I had never agreed to this, I know every charity and campaign I have supported over the years so I knew this was a scam. I Imagine if i had been pulled into their scam and talked about which schools, they would then ask me to pay my contribution by asking for my card details.
