Informing me I d had a car accident. I do not drive. Advised them I have never had a car accident. Unsurprisingly they immediately put the phone down when I informed them I work with RTA claims in a legitimate law firm. Called herself Amanda Smith. Do not be duped, it is illegal for law firms to approach potential clients in this way. Any company that does is not reputable.

When asked for details was referred to her supervisoor Aran, who got increasingly short with me, then wanted to take control of my computer to show me. Apparently my connection will be cut in 1 hour. Very bubbly sounding lady called Leslie, on a terrible line, called from this number. Claimed to be from some kind of insurance company, said the information had come from the "Road Traffic Accident Commission" or similar. Apparently I was in an accident that wasn t my fault. After asking her to repeat her company name, and pointing out that I hadn t had an accident, she hung up on me.

SCAM Amazon call. Phoned the number back and it was a private number. Spoke to a lady who it was nothing to do with. Looks like these scammers are now now using peoples private numbers for the id that comes up on the phone.
