Called me claiming I called them last year about House insurance, when I told him I had not heard of him and never called them or anyone else about home insurance as I do it all online he got rude and aggressive, I put the phone down. This was Friday, I just got two calls from this company five minutes apart, next time will threaten to report them to police as this has worked with these types of calls before

Allegedly a company who had my details because I’d shown interest in trading!!! Total lies .....never done anything like that. The woman was getting irate because I repeatedly said I wasn’t interested. In the end I told her I was ending the call. I hate being rude to these people but sometimes you just want to tell them to eff off and leave you alone. They are persistent and I feel dangerous to certain members of the public who are vulnerable and taken in by their rubbish.

The guy I m working with also got a call from this number a couple of days ago, how have they got hold of both our numbers as we have no connection apart from we are working at the same house at the moment, he also lives in Southampton so isn t even local and not on any local databases???

Said it was the tax office. And if I don't dial 1 to speak to someone a warrant for fraud will be issued by the police. I work in a govt department in a large company, I get paid and pay taxes and all my bills. So the s must be fraud. And who calls for this on a Saturday. Really.

Recorded voice message of a well spoken elderly gentlemen saying the call was from National Crime Agency, my national insurance number is linked to multiple crimes and I should press 1 to speak to an officer immediately. It's the tedious call back scam where naive people (marks) call back thinking that it's a local/national number when, in fact, the return call is redirected to a premium rate number without the mark's knowledge. Works well with the drunk, those on drugs, the vulnerable and Boris voters.
