Automated call - long pause, then an automated message saying my internet company had been trying to contact me and that they were going to cut the service off. Wrong on all accounts, and very annoying especially as it is a UK number. I thought this was illegal now?

SCAM / SPAM this number has called to say my internet will be disconnected in next 48 hours due to illegal activity on my account. It asks you to wait to be put through to an advisor. Virgin Media would not do this. Call disconnected by myself and blocked number. This was the same as yesterday but on a different number.

SCAM Sent SMS including a link. Said I had missing census information and not updating this may result in £1000 fine. Said for me to click the link to update information to avoid having to pay any fines in future. I clicked the link but phone detected the link as unsafe and sent me a full red screen reading: “DECEPTIVE WEBSITE DETECTED” and gave me a choice to proceed or to go back to previous page. Don’t be fooled like I was! You may not be so lucky as to dodge the negative consequences like I was!

Rang us at 11.15pm and again between 1 and 2am last night. registered with TPS but they can t stop it and BT can t help unless we pay for a blocker and different phones. SCAM Received a call apparently from O2 asking if my phone service was good. I said it was fine and hung up. Almost immediately after I received a warning from O2 by text: *SECURITY WARNING* The one-time code you requested will arrive shortly. If someone's calling you and asking for a code, please end the call because they DO NOT work for O2. If you suspect fraud, call us on 202 so we can protect your account. Soon after a code came from O2. This suggests the caller was trying to access my account.
