Another nuisance call!

Not sure who called, but I keep getting these calls every day.

Caller is Black Pearl Claims who deal with PPI. They use several different telephone numbers to call from.

Nobody else think it a bit strange that the UK-HMRC automated message had a North American accent

They called me told me my name and my postcode. Said that I was happy with my bank and credit cards? I said yes and he then said okay and cut me off. VERY VERY DODGY and cannot call the number back either so concerned how they have my details??

Saying 600 pound taken out of bank

Its not just AO I just received a call from a young woman claiming to be from boots appliances, in the pretence of confirming delivery details etc. In fact her sole purpose was to sell insurance cover! She repeated every detail of my delivery, which I already know, told me they can remove my old appliance, which I already know etc etc etc then asked me why my old appliance was broken! All leading to the insurance pitch! These are badly scripted insurance sales calls! I am very disappointed that boots

Called to tell me my PC was malfunctioning told him he was a con man.

I am getting regular silent calls from this number even though I am registered with the TPS. I have now tracked them down and the number belongs to a supposedly reputable charity fundraising organisation. I say supposedly reputable since no genuinely reputable company would make such a nuisance of themselves, especially on TPS registered numbers. Facts International say they never make sales calls, which may be correct, but if they pass details on to sales organisations, those organisations are able to circumvent the law on TPS by saying you responded to a survey and expressed an interest in.. . Following such a survey by Facts International, I receive numerous sales calls on my home number despite TPS. I am now receiving calls from this number on my mobile and will not be responding...

Annoying and now on my blocked no s list. Tell you what...I finally rang this number - it goes on automatic response BUT select option 2 to remove your number. It had better remove it otherwise I ll select option 1 next time to speak to a representative and give him/her a piece of my mind!

Caller claimed he was ringing back about "refund" but nobody had called him. He also asked for a Mr Stewart - nobody here with that name.

Recorded message. Content saying: This is the Mastercard and Visa security department of your bank regarding the transaction for £600 made £15 minutes ago to a foreign country. ...

I have received calls from these people every day but nobody is on the line. So I emailed them and told them to remove my ex directory number immediately as they are contravening the new Data Protection Law and one more call and I will complain and they could incur as hefty fine, if I wanted their insurance I would call them, so Google Data Protection and go on their site, There is a link where you can complain. This is harassment so let s put a stop to it.

Difficult to believe they are phoning a 92 year old who has spent the last four years in a care home.
