Advertising Scams. Try to get you to place ads on non existent magazines etc. Pretend to record calls so do not agree to anything. Used to use withheld numbers but now resorting to mobiles to get round call blocking.

I rang back and the company refused to accept my call on the basis that I withheld my number - obviously whoever it is has something to hide.

Once money is sent to the scammers, they will either disappear immediately or try to get more money with claims of continued problems with the transfer.

As usual at tea time and I guess they could tell from my tone that talking would be waste of time, so it ends up a silent call.
