Car accident/insurance scam. Exactly the same stuff as jimlad reports. Commenter Jonathan is clearly one of the scammers.

The registered message said there were from HMRC Revenue and Customs but when I press 1 to speak the operator the line dropped.

Tells me I have been identified has having and industrial injury and wants to act on my behalf. I have never had such an injury. The caller uses a Merthyr Tydfil dialling code but on interrogation turns out to be a call centre in Liverpool. I explain I am a member of TPS and don t wont to be cold called. Same call the next day!.

someone called from this number saying they are Jason Clarkewell lied and gave false information to us.

Rang my mobile for a few seconds. Managed to answer but it hung up. Rang back the number and it sounds engaged.

Sounded like a Indian call centre in back ground, the line went dead!

fed up of these scammers, told me I had a problem with my computer, I asked him if he thought I was stupid because there is nothing wrong with my computer, he replied no you can believe it with your own eyes,told him he was a scammer and to f.off and I put the phone down really fed up of these calls don t usually answer them,but I was waiting for a phone call and didn t have my specs on... something should be done about these scumbags

Another financial company, this time asking about pensions. He mentioned the FSA a lot and new legislation coming in regarding admin fees. He sounded very plausible and asked what companies I had pensions with. I told him I wasn t interested and eventually, he ended the call. Blocked this contact now on my iPhone.

Just took one of these calls. After reading from a script about a survey, they were polite enough to ask "Are you ready for the first question?". I replied "No!". They hung up :)

They have rang me several times asking about life insurance. My view is that if you have enquired previously about what they are trying to sell then fair enough. But if it us completely random then dont trust them.

Answered the call because it seemed to be a Birmingham number - just silence so blocked them, there s nothing I want from parasites like this (other than for them to get a real job)

They phoned twice Fri 10/10/14. First call I answered but the line was dead i.e. Silent call. Second time I ignored in then 1471 said it was 01702 318818. Like "fed up" below when I rang it was a short message saying they were Independent Market Research then the call was cut off. Complained to FCO but they say there is nothing they can do at the moment.

Keep getting pestered with calls on a daily basis.

Had a call from this number, identified itself as Humberside Police to my call barring service but then cut off when I tried to answer. Line went dead when tried to recall. Called police, they had no record of anyone trying to ring my number nor did they recognise this 56677 number.
