Very cleverly the got personal details from me including my address, date of birth and national insurance number. They pretend to put you through to a solicitor whilst keeping you on hold for a while... Very well thought out criminal enterprise.. After a couple of days they confirm that you can have the money.. And arrange for a "special courier" for legal docume

Had a liverpudlian girl called Lucy call me just from 01704222222, said she was calling from Alderley Assist, got the usual call centre spiel, had my name on file which I confirmed. fell for these guys too, using another number 02476231293. for western guardian, a company that does exist but it seems don t actually sell any newspapers, did some checks with friends in the newspaper industry and they don t exist. its a scam, fake newspaper website to trick you into thinking they are legit, when asking about distribution numbers and areas they couldn t tell me, went on hold and then reeled off some local place names. everything on their website is password protected so you cant actually r

Said he was from an IT company that I had used recently, when I asked where he got my number from overrode my questions saying he had got it from a database and continued saying I had used one of there services recently. Told him my number was on TPF and he replied not interested and it didn t concern him what I was on. Very aggressive male caller refusing to listen. ended up telling him (very rudely) to go away and hung up
