Just received a call from this number, it originates in Burnley, I don't know anyone from Burnley or in Burnley

I had these stickers on my door a few weeks ago and removed them. Now they?ve come back again and struck a similar looking sticker with the number 07932961616 which is the number of Cricklewood Locksmiths who are known for this kind of advertising and there have been news reports about them in the past.

Idiot using local area code, calling about a road traffic accident. Hung up when I asked where he got my number. I ve now got a whistle to blow down the line!

I received a message telling I had an accident but I never had an accident recently.

Telephone Preference Service is free and will never call you. Never give any information to an unknown caller, no matter how plausible they sound.

An automated voice purporting to be from my broadband provider saying had been trying to contact me. I hung up immediately.

Call from this number at 12.31 today (5/10) asking for me by my full name and caller claimed to be Michael from; - ?something or other (couldn t make out what he was saying) Investigations addressing me by my full name and wanted my future pension plan details. I politely declined after explaining I was in fact with the Government and had no need for further pension advice . He then accused me of lying to him! Unsolicited call, unknown company, asking me about my "Forex trading" knowledge/history, as they seem to think I m involved in that. Er, I m not. TPS. Unsolicited finance advice? Goodbye.

Claim to be a company dealing with my accident claim - asked them what my name is and he couldn t answer. Told him politely I have never had an accident and to remove my number from their database !!

Phishing for info on car accidents. Asked me about a car accident that I haven t had. 2 call in 7 days. the first time they called I explained I hadn t had an accident nor had any of my family. They said "its a mistake on our system, I ll take you off the list" which was of course rubbish.

is it worth ringing these back?
