On returning this call it was an automated response saying that as my phone contract was due to expire shortly they could offer info. on new handsets etc. Press 1 to remove from their database, 2 to speak to someone. On entering 1 you are requested to enter your no. then the hash tag. Upon doing this the line went dead. Hopefully I won t now start receiveing lots of Spam!

i answered the phone then he said who is there which i didn t answer to so I asked him who he was but he put the phone down on me but to whoever it was there he had a lot of noise like a radio a group of other people in the background talking loudly.

I phoned their number while withholding my own number and they have their number set up not to accept withheld numbers. This looks 100% like a local number - but beware - it is NOT. It is a computer voice purporting to be from Amazon to say that I have been charged £399 for a phone, and to press 3 to confirm my details. When will this type of call be stopped??
