Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

Caller claimed I had a problem with malware on my PC and he would guide me through the repair of it. He asked me to turn on my computer and when I told him no, he got aggressive, told me my PC would screw up and then hung up.
Fraud? Scam? Purports to be Amazon advising of possible fraud on account. Did not respond to requests to press 1 or 2 Rang the number back and got Sky 1571 response As the supposed amount was over £1000 I think this should come under the heading fraud. Did not respond or leave message.

SCAM. This number is a pre-recorded message saying "that our internet is going to be cut off in 4 hours due to unusual activity on our IP address press 1 to talk to your internet provider". Didn't press 1 I just hung up. They call many times a day on many different numbers.
Received call from Indian sounding male, call centre environment. Said other people had been using my router. He did NOT ask to confirm my name address, account etc. I asked him many questions as I new it was a scam. He asked me to go to my computer. He said he could not send me an email to confirm who he was so I asked him to call back in half an hour whilst I ring BT to clarify who he is, he quickly put the phone down. TAXES / HMRC Robocall allegedly from HMRC saying that they are about to take legal action against you and press one, leave your details to prevent legal action being taken. No human interaction whatsoever. When you try to call it back ( from a withheld number you get an immediate divert saying sorry calls can't be taken at this time or an unobtainable tone.

The female caller (with a strange accent) said she representing Star Financial Services in the USA, and claimed they are currently engaged in a hostile takeover of Prudential Plc. so they wanted to buy my shares but first needed me to sign a non-disclosure agreement. They wanted my email address to send the documents. I said no, even tho they had my correct name and home phone number. I googled the company and they only have 5 employees and a non-phone number listed on BBB in the US.

This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.
