Cold call. Asked for me by correct name. Polite chap asked if I knew anything about packaged banking. I asked where he'd got my number from and he said his firm purchased lists of phone numbers. Told him I was hanging up and not to ring again.

I believe this is a cold caller who has somehow, along with two others since blocked, has my mobile number - guessing via software as only family have the number they are ringing. Rings a few times then goes off - ringing the number back produce a constant engaged tone. Another number that'll be getting blocked. This is the third 'cold call' to my mobile in a week that has gone unanswered!

SCAM. There is no such thing as a Covid Pass. I nearly fell for it. The first thing they ask for is your GP’s post code. That made me take a 2nd look at it. Then they asked for my name date of birth address etc. I completed my mums Covid booster online form and it wasn’t like this so I pulled myself together and deleted everything and looked at the number which was a mobile. The NHS don’t send anything by text on a mobile number like that. Dangerous SCAM.

Claimed I had a car accident in last 3 years. Said company was called LRA and that the were legally regulated by the law society. I then hung up. Person was very aggressive
This number called twice today and I did not answer as I did not know the caller. There was no message left on both occasions. Telephoned again at 7.30pm? It rand and rang and went to answerphone. Message was left in a sill childish voice "Helloooo" Message deleted and now blocked.

I believe this to be a telephone/banking scam. They purported to be my bank but they said they wanted me to open another account and transfer money from my account into this other account - at that point I stopped the call and called the number on the back of my debit card and reported the call to my bank fraud department.
Someone alleging our IP address has been hacked. Suggested we press 1 to talk to an engineer. I just held on to the line without acting or speaking. They rang off.
