I called the number back today and it just went through to call waiting music as if on hold so I hung up immediatly. Had over ?3 on my my pay as you go phone but after ringing this number my credit had gone down to ?1.11. DON T TRUST THIS NUMBER AND DEFINATELY DON T PHONE IT!!

I have managed to confirm that calls from this number are from a company debt management company called Stephenson Drake (www.stevensondrake.com. They operate by automated cold calling your number. You will either hear silence or a message asking if you are having problems with debt. If you press 5 to speak to someone then you are cut off BUT your number is stored and you will receive a follow up call from them. Their number is 0161 826 6182 They also use:- 08434108745, 08434107237, 08439601357 and oth

This number called saying about clearing my debts with a new goverment initiative. He had an asian accent. When i asked him which initiative and refused to give any of my details. He became very abusive.
