Sounded vaguely legitimate until she started asking me for personal details - date of birth, etc... "to confirm I was over 18". We, the public, the people who pay a phone company serious money every month only to be pestered , and for some actually stolen from , have got to learn how to do more , and I mean more , than just close the gate each time the horse bolts. The phone companies we pay our money to don't do nearly enough to deal with this filthy virus that is growing at a seriously dangerous rate. They called my landline at 8.49am (automated at first) pretending to be AMAZON to say I'm about to be charged £39.99 for my AMAZON PRIME subscription which i don't have and have never signed up for, but to cancel it i need to be on my device and they would talk me through it on-line.
